#2.1 ground truthing <

Ground Truthing is an extension of the Machine Space project to explore how the changes in the residential tracts of Detroit, since the 1940s, can be depicted in moving image. Informed by slow violence as an interpretive frame, these areas are understood to be in continual motion through market inflected change. What challenges do these - productions of space - present for representation?

As a starting point, this project uses aerial images of the city and region, acquired between 1949 to 2011.
